SUBJECTIVE

The need for renewable energy sources is rising because of the acute energy turmoil in the world today. India plans to generate 20 Gigawatts Solar power by the year 2020, whereas we have only noticed less than half a Gigawatt of the potential until date. Solar power is a essential untapped source in a warm country like ours. The main hindrance pertaining to the penetration and reach of solar PV systems is their low efficiency and high capital cost.

" Solar Panel Maximum Power Point Tracker”. Because the term implied, this can be a photovoltaic system that uses the photo voltaic array like a source of electrical power supply as every photovoltaic (PV) mixture has an ideal operating level, called the utmost power level, which varies depending on cell temperature, the insolation level and mixture voltage. A maximum power point system (MPPT) is necessary to operate the PV mixture at its maximum power level.

In this thesis, we analyze a schematic to remove maximum readily available solar power coming from a PV module and use the energy for a DC application. This project investigates in detail the idea of Maximum Electric power Point Monitoring (MPPT) which significantly enhances the efficiency in the solar photo voltaic system.
